About Penn View Visuals

Penn View Visuals was started in 1985 with one song. It was in the early 1980's, that Barry Mason, a long time faculty member at Penn View Bible Institute was doing public relations and traveling with groups from the school. During this time it was requested that they would take groups and travel from Church to Church and hold special rallies for children. These rallies were called "Special People Rallies." They were also asked to do Vacation Bible School's with these groups. While on tour holding these rallies, and Vacation Bible School's, people began to request a song that was being used, "Do You Have A Question?" It was out of these requests that God was able to plant the beginning seeds of what is now, Penn View Visuals.

It was during the travel doing "Special People Rallies," and VBS's that the Mason's found it difficult to find suitable materials. Penn View Visuals grew out of that one song to other songs, stories and programs and a wide variety of other Child Evangelism Materials.

One day in 1985 Barry Mason came home to his wife and said, "I have just taken out a loan for $500. I belive that God wants us to open up a business." With that loan, an artist was hired and Penn View Visuals started silk screening story visuals. From the first story off the press until today, God has enabled Penn View Visuals to continue to produce original new materials to be used in children's ministry.

Over the years Penn View Visuals has grown to what it is today, largely a mail order/internet business. However, Visuals' stories are now being used in 49 states of the United States and also in close to 15 other countries. All of the songs, stories and programs are written, visualized and marketed from a small shop on the campus of Penn View Bible Institute where Barry Mason teaches Child Evangelism and Music.

Youth groups and churches have sponsored stories and songs published by Penn View Visuals. This enables the group to have a part in this ministry to children. It also enables Penn View Visuals to make more materials available to churches and child evangelism teachers & evangelists.

Some people have sponsored a story or song in memory of a loved one so that the person remembered in death will continue to touch and reach children for God even though they are no longer able to reach children through their life.
